Redmi 1s blitz sale on flipkart

Yesterday
was the first day of the Redmi 1s sale on flipkart. I was lucky
enough to be able to buy one of them. Flipkart claims that 1 million
plus users registered for it, while only 40,000 units were sold. The
phone sold out in about 3-4 seconds. It is again going on sale next
tuesday, for which the registrations are open. The sale starts at
2pm, a countdown begins 10mins before 2pm. It is advisable to follow
the countdown and click on “buy now” as soon as it pops.
It is
a really good strategy by Xiaomi to create such a hype about there
phones. They sell all there units in a matter of seconds without
spending even a penny on marketing.
They
are giving away a micro sim card adopter and a screen guard free with
the device. The device comes packed in a box made of recycled paper.
They are sadly not giving earphones with the device. Also, the device
supports OTG i.e pen drives can be connected directly to the phone,
but they are not giving the otg adapter with the device.
It is
a brilliant phone for the given price (Re. 5999). It is loaded with
feature.
